On July 19, 2017, a working meeting with 23 heads of the branches of the Kaliningrad Child and Family resource centre was held. One of the issues discussed was the organization of the work of the Foster parents school and the Family Support Service for those who have already taken custody of an orphaned child.
The methodist of the Center Galina Lendyushkina presented the latest training program for people who want to take care of an orphaned child. According to the proposed program the training course at the Foster parents school covers 12 topics. Duration of the course is 42 hours in the form of lectures (on-site and distant) and practical classes (on-site). For many branches of the Center this is a new direction of work, therefore, we are going to give them methodological and informational support first of all.
Deputy Director of the Center Lyudmila Sevastyanova told about the importance of the interaction between the Center and the non-profit organization Project PARUS. Besides she presented our common project.
