On June 2, 2017 a roundtable discussion “Improving the efficiency of the foster parents school” within the framework of the project “Creating the structure for training Professional parents” was held at the Kaliningrad Department of psychological and pedagogical assistance and work with substitute families. The roundtable was attended by: Lyudmila Sevastyanova, deputy director of the Kaliningrad Child and Family resource centre; Elena Krashevskaya, head of the department; psychologists and specialists of the department; representatives of the ANO Project PARUS as well as the head of the Kaliningrad guardianship department for minors Svetlana Khmelenko.
The purpose of the round table was to determine the current situation at the existing foster parents schools and assess the effectiveness of the interaction between the Kaliningrad guardianship department for minors and the Kaliningrad Child and Family resource centre.
An interesting and vivid presentation of the local foster parents school was prepared by the psychologist of the department Alexei Serov. The methodologist of the department Galina Lendyushkina told about her work at the Khabarovsk foster parents school.
